Job Description

Summary of Position:
Setup and operate brake press equipment to manufacture parts according to customer specifications, engineering drawings, and production requirements. Responsible for machine setup, tooling selection, quality inspection, troubleshooting, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards.
Job Duties:
Set up and operate brake press systems to run parts per customer specifications. Inspect parts as required by the quality inspection plan. Report on any manufacturing issues to supervisor and/or quality department. Other duties as assigned. Set up and operate press brake systems to manufacture parts according to customer specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders. Select and install tooling required for production. Program and adjust machine settings to achieve required bend angles and dimensions. Verify material specifications and bend sequences prior to production. Inspect parts as required by the quality inspection plan. Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring equipment. Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues. Complete required production and quality documentation. Report on manufacturing issues to supervisor and/or quality department. Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years of brake press setup and operation experience in a manufacturing environment required. Experience operating CNC brake press equipment required. Experience operating Amada press brake equipment preferred. Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. Knowledge of tooling selection and metal forming processes. Experience using standard inspection and measuring equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Oral communication and problem-solving skills. Must be respectful and display a positive attitude.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Frequent standing, bending, and reaching during machine operation.
Safety:
Wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots. Ensure machine guards and safety devices are in place before operation. Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required. Report unsafe conditions, accidents, and equipment concerns immediately.
Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
