In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to accurately bend and form sheet metal components according to precise specifications.
Basic Functions of Position:
Set up, load, adjust and operate a press brake to bend, match, punch, form, roll or straighten metal to specified tolerances and shapes.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Confirm order requirements are met:
including the proper selection of job priority, material, dies, machine settings, etc. 2. First Article inspection on all production runs to specified tolerances and dimensions. 3. Select, position, and align dies. Adjust pressure and die clearances and back gauge as required. 4. Layout or detail layout on plate stock from drawings, prints, templates, etc. 5. End product quality dimensional conformance, and order quality assurance. 6. Load and unload product into machine via overhead crane, forklift, etc. 7. Logically plan forming sequence to efficiently achieve the end product required, including the metallurgical aspects of product design. 8. Program and edit CNC controller. Record setting and pertinent information on job records for future use. Note changes made. 9. Machine productivity, efficiency, and safe operations. 10. Routine maintenance, care, and cleaning of equipment and work area. Communicate problems and requirements to supervisor. 11. Selection, management, and care of dies. Communicate problems and requirements to supervisor. 12. Training of new employees. 13. Fill out necessary paperwork including time cards, production reports, quality documents, revisions, etc. 14. Mark all processed material with appropriate job order and routing information. Ensure processed material is properly routed to the next scheduled workstation. 15. Perform all work functions within established safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. 16. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Physical Requirements /
Environment:
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. Physically load and unload product from machine.
  • Moderate physical requirements in shop environment.
Education /
Experience:
  • A minimum of 12 months operational press brake experience.
  • NC controller programming, print interpretation and reading, and metallurgical specification knowledge required.
  • Reading, math, trigonometry and dimensional knowledge required. Read English SAE and Metric tapes and micrometer.
  • Full understanding of shop material flow.
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
