Life Insurance Job Description:

As a Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating all sizes of press brakes.

Responsibilities:

Chooses, installs, and precisely aligns dies within the press brake ram and bed. Secures dies in place by tightening set screws or bolts on the clamp bar. Creates and saves part programs within the machine system. Interprets blueprints to mark or lay out workpieces accordingly. Positions materials either manually or by using a crane. Operates the machine by engaging the ram (via controls or foot pedal) to bend or cut metal components. Inspects finished pieces to ensure measurements meet specifications and adjusts settings as needed. Independently identifies correct dies, setups, gauge configurations, and ram stroke adjustments to produce parts at required angles and lengths without relying on written instructions. Determines the correct forming sequence for multi-step parts without documented guidance. Develops work instructions after establishing a successful part setup. Utilizes precision measuring tools such as verniers, protractors, indicators, and radius gauges.
