Apply now to get lined up with an interview Job Description This entry-level role offers the opportunity to learn and operate press brake equipment and other job shop machinery in a clean, high-tech metal fabrication environment. You will form sheet metal to print specifications, support production with basic shop duties, and may receive training on advanced CNC equipment and automated systems. Looking for an individual with a good head on their shoulders, basic math skills, and mechanically inclined. The position follows a primarily Monday through Friday daytime schedule with roughly 44-hour work weeks and optional Saturday work. Responsibilities Operate a press brake to form sheet metal parts according to print and specification requirements. Run additional job shop machinery as assigned, including equipment used in sheet metal fabrication. Form sheet metal accurately to print specifications, ensuring parts meet dimensional and quality standards. Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances. Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to complete jobs correctly and efficiently. Assist with basic shop duties as required, including material handling, part staging, and general housekeeping. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely when moving sheet metal and finished parts, if experienced. Support production on CNC equipment by learning to set up and operate CNC machines, presses, punches, shears, and related machinery. Work around automated machinery, including laser cutting, punching centers, multi-bend centers, and robotic welding systems, as needed. Use computer-based interfaces and controls for CNC and automated equipment, following established procedures. Maintain a safe and organized work area and follow all safety policies and procedures. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality goals. Demonstrate a willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and technologies as the operation evolves. Team members primarily work around automated machinery, including laser cutting and punching centers, multi-bend centers, waterjet cutting systems, and robotic welding cells. The equipment lineup includes multiple lasers, punching centers, state-of-the-art multi-bend centers, and press brakes ranging from 60 to 400 tons, supported by robotic welding systems and high-tech cutting equipment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
