Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The Press Brake Operator sets up and runs our TRUMPF TruBend 5170 press brake to bend and form metal and aluminum parts — things like trim, flashing, battens, J-channel, and closures that go with our panel products. You'll read the job paperwork, set the machine, make the parts, and check your own work to make sure it is right before it moves on. Duties Set up and run forming jobs, holding tolerances of about +/- .010" to +/- .030" on materials ranging from light gauge sheet up to .500" thick. Set up and run the TRUMPF TruBend 5170 CNC press brake. Check your own parts and write any needed notes on the job router. Read job and production orders along with the prints and drawings, figure out what the job needs, double-check the information is correct, and flag anything that looks wrong or special. Make sure all work meets CPS quality standards. Clean and prep part surfaces as needed before forming. At shift change, talk with the next operator and let them know what is going on or coming up. Troubleshoot problems on the line as they come up. Other duties as assigned. Experience Understands and supports CPS's mission, values, and quality goals. Shows the traits we care about: good attitude, intelligence, integrity, and humility. General hands-on knowledge of metal fabrication. Can read and understand job specs, shop drawings, and blueprints. Good with shop math. Comfortable checking your own parts with tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Good judgment, decision-making, and communication. Shows up on time, is dependable, and is willing to work overtime when needed. Works well with others on the shop floor. Can lift up to 50 lbs. Can stand for 8-12 hours. Has reliable transportation. Join us in a role where your technical skills drive innovation! We're dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment that values safety, precision, and continuous improvement. If you thrive in a manufacturing setting that challenges your craftsmanship while supporting your growth—this is the perfect opportunity for you!
