Press Brake Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to accurately bend and shape sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure that all fabricated parts meet precise specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine bending angles, dimensions, and tooling requirements. Set up press brake machines by selecting appropriate tooling, adjusting machine parameters, and programming CNC controls for precise operation. Operate press brake machinery efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Perform routine inspections of finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy. Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment, troubleshoot issues promptly, and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs or adjustments. Utilize CNC programming skills to modify or create bending programs for complex fabrication tasks. Assist with material handling using forklifts or cranes when necessary to move sheet metal or fabricated parts safely within the workspace. Support fabrication processes by working with hand tools, measuring devices, and tooling setups to optimize production flow. Participate in quality inspection procedures to verify that parts meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and customer specifications. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks when needed to ensure seamless production from raw material to finished product. Experience Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Strong knowledge of CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and stamping presses is highly desirable. Skilled in blueprint reading with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software used for bending operations. Mechanical knowledge of tooling setup, calibration, and maintenance of press brake equipment. Experience working with sheet metal materials and performing quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to work safely with hand tools, welding equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other manufacturing machinery. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, angles, and tolerances essential for precise fabrication tasks. Knowledge of GD&T principles to ensure parts meet strict quality standards. Prior experience supporting assembly processes within a manufacturing setting is a plus.
