In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that all fabricated parts meet strict quality standards and specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to the production of high-quality metal components used across various industries. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring correct tooling, calibration, and safety protocols are followed. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine bending angles, dimensions, and sequence of operations. Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) press brakes for complex bending tasks, optimizing machine performance for efficiency and accuracy. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to minimize downtime. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet quality standards. Collaborate with fabrication teams to coordinate workflows involving CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, welding, and other machining processes. Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations from specifications; document findings accurately. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety guidelines; operate hand tools and lifting equipment like cranes or forklifts as needed. Qualifications Proven experience operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of mechanical principles. Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, milling machines, lathes, or stamping presses is highly desirable. Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and basic math skills for precise measurements. Familiarity with fabrication tools including hand tools, tooling setups, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to work with sheet metal materials safely while maintaining high quality standards. Mechanical aptitude combined with experience in welding or electrical discharge machining is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently. Physical ability to lift heavy materials using cranes or forklifts; comfortable standing for extended periods during shifts.
