Cadrex is looking for Press Brake Operators at all experience levels to join our team. Whether you are an experienced Press Brake Operator, an experienced machine operator looking to advance your skills, or someone with manufacturing experience who is ready to learn, we have opportunities available. Our Press Brake Operators play an important role in producing high-quality precision metal components for a variety of industries. We will align candidates to Press Brake Operator I, II, or III based on their experience and skill level. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designer Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designer Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results) Identify different types of material- Aluminum, 5000 series Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Paint Grip, Galvanneal, and Galvanized Uphold site efficiency standards Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for site Safety and Quality standards and procedures Meet the standards of the site attendance policy Assist in other work areas as assigned Requirements All Levels Safely operate and/or set up press brake equipment to produce quality parts according to specifications Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, drawings, and safety procedures Follow established bending sequences and production requirements Perform quality inspections using basic and precision measurement tools Use tools such as calipers, squares, height gauges, and protractors Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or questionable conditions Perform basic mathematical calculations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Meet established quality, productivity, and attendance standards Cross-train and assist in other areas as needed Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and efficiency Press Brake Operator I•Entry Level This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their press brake skills.
- Intermediate Set up press brake tooling, equipment, and machines based on production specifications Make machine and tooling adjustments to maintain quality and dimensional requirements Perform detailed dimensional inspections Understand material behavior, including springback and deflection Understand tooling requirements for hems, offsets, and various bend applications Understand V-opening requirements in relation to material thickness Make new machine programs as needed Troubleshoot production and quality issues Complete reference sheets for complex parts Work independently while meeting established quality and efficiency standards Cross-train on multiple machines and workstations Press Brake Operator III•Advanced Perform advanced press brake setups and machine adjustments Develop bend sequences for complex parts Create and modify machine programs Manage tooling and assist with tool library maintenance Troubleshoot complex production and quality issues Help identify and resolve machine or tooling issues Train and mentor Press Brake Operators to company standards Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with preventative maintenance and communicate maintenance needs Support production scheduling and communication with leadership as needed Serve as a technical resource for other Press Brake Operators What We're Looking For Press Brake Operator I Manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred, but not required Ability to read and follow work instructions Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or drawings Basic math skills Ability and willingness to learn press brake operation and setup Strong attention to detail Commitment to safety and quality Press Brake Operator II 2+ years of related press brake or metal fabrication experience preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions Experience setting up press brake equipment and tooling Understanding of bend sequences and material behavior Ability to use precision measurement tools Ability to make machine and tooling adjustments Experience creating or modifying machine programs preferred Press Brake Operator III 4+ years of related press brake experience preferred Strong press brake setup and operating experience Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and drawings Advanced understanding of tooling, bend sequences, and material behavior Ability to create and modify machine programs Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues Ability to train and mentor other employees Strong understanding of quality and efficiency requirements Experience requirements are guidelines.
