Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of one or more CNC Press Brake machines. He/she will also assist other Press Brake operators with any of their daily duties including area housekeeping, maintenance work, and material staging. The optimal candidate will also be cross trained in the operation of our CNC lasers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Read, interpret, and work from complex blueprints, CAD drawings, and written specification listings Select proper punches and dies to complete the product in accordance to forming program Load programs, set up correct tooling, and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment Set up, operate, and manage press brake machines to crimp, notch, bend, and/or straighten metal material; as specified by blueprints, drawings, templates Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Establish and operate sheet metal equipment under minimal supervision to fabricate as well as form products as per engineering drawings and parameters. Inspect and maintain press brake equipment for conformance with safety requirements. Prioritize production runs to assure customer orders are on time, while maximizing machine efficiency Inspects all manufactured parts following work in process inspection methods Requires ability to read blueprints and calculate bend allowances Assist in other departments as needed All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent 2 years+ Press Brake Experience Ability to inspect flat laser cut parts with precision inspection equipment Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and equipment Read and follow written procedures Be able to lift up to 40-50 lbs routinely Safety conscious behavior.
