The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating the press brake machine to bend, shape, and form metal parts according to project specifications. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under production deadlines. Operate and maintain the press brake machine to bend, shape, and form metal parts. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to determine bending requirements. Set up and calibrate the press brake machine, ensuring proper settings for each project. Monitor the bending process to ensure the accuracy and quality of the parts produced. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the press brake and related equipment. Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Work overtime as required. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.Specific Qualifications:
Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. 2-5 years of press brake operating experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment preferred. Experience working with sheet metal, steel plate, or structural components. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Basic math skills including measurements, angles, and tolerances. Experience using precision measuring instruments. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating CNC press brake equipment. Knowledge of bend allowances, tooling selection, and metal forming techniques. Previous experience in heavy fabrication or enclosure manufacturing environments.Working Conditions:
Physical Requirements:
Sit, walk, kneel, bend, crawl, and crouch for extended periods. Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust machine controls with precision. Strong depth perception and reaction time for safe operation. Coordinate the use of hands, arms, and legs for handling objects and materials. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to see details both at close range and distance (naturally or with correction). Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Mental and visual attention necessary to complete work tasks effectively.Environmental Conditions:
Wear protective or safety equipment, including safety boots/shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats. Exposure to high levels of noise, grease, dust, and various substances typical of a construction or manufacturing site.Company Overview:
