Job Description

Under direction of Fabrication Supervisor or their designee, performs shearing operations to a variety of small to midsize sheet metal blanks by achieving Bobrick standards of safety, product quality and productivity. They must continuously upgrade their job skills in keeping with changing technology and be able to function in a cooperative and supportive manner with all Bobrick employees. Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned Ensure that compliance with company safety policies and regulations Set up and operate at least 1 of fabrication's machines Complete Standard & International
KB300/KB301
Cross-Training Check in-coming and out-going material for quality and quantity. Monitor and verify that the quality and quantity of work performed meets Bobrick standards. Maintain the production process in a capable and aligned state. Maintain a healthy and safe environment by keeping the work area clean, materials positioned correctly and follow safe operating procedures. Conduct daily pre-start on equipment before the start of shift. Report any unsafe conditions/hazards to department supervisor immediately. Participate and support projects, charter teams and events to meet the company stated goals and budget. Maintain equipment in good functional order. Report any problems in business or equipment to department lead person and/or supervisor. Use all protecting devices with guards properly set and in good repair. Assist lead person in training lower grade employees in set up, machine operation, and safe working procedures including personal safeguards. Assist higher grade operators in Tandem operations. Prepare detail parts transfer.Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree; and 1- 2 years related experience and/or training in metal; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions.Mathematical Skills:
Ability to complete simple math problems.Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
