The ideal candidate will have at least 5 yrs. experience working on Baird and Nilson equipment. This role requires a strong background in wire and strip-forming, as well as, technical drawing interpretation to ensure that production meets strict specifications and standards. Responsibilities Set-up and operate Four Slide equipment Operate various tools for machining, grinding, welding, and fabrication tasks. Interpret engineering schematics, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges to verify dimensions. Maintain safety standards during fabrication processes including welding and stamping press operations. Troubleshoot tooling issues during production runs and perform repairs or modifications as needed. Document work processes and maintain accurate records of tooling specifications and modifications. Experience Proven experience as a Set-up / Operator of Baird and Nilson equipment Familiarity with GD&T principles for precision measurement and quality control. Mechanical knowledge related to Four Slide equipment, tooling design, machining processes, assembly techniques, and schematics interpretation. Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc., for quality assurance. Knowledge of manufacturing standards, safety procedures, and the use of hand tools for fabrication tasks.
