Job Description

JOB Responsible for the operation of the digitial printing machine areas of the print shop. Preflighting of existing files. Assist in daily printing operations of the Print Shop and the college. Daily printing of jobs using all shop printers. Finish print jobs using a variety of finishing equipment such as duplo binder, plochmatic binder, duplo slitter/cutter/creaser, folders, and inserters.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential Job Functions:
Assume overall responsibility of the Print Shop in the absence of the supervisor and print technician. Coordinate daily scheduling and complete printing jobs using digital printing equipment and appropriate finishing equipment. Process DSF including job submission and job coordination. Evaluate and upgrade current and future printing jobs using printing technology equipment. Assist in training of part time and student workers. Care and maintain all equipment in print shop and mailroom. Research create and implement new products to the campus and external community. Supervise workload of outside customers with all digital printing work. Manage a demanding work load with multiple projects and strict deadlines in a fast-paced high turnabout environment. Pre-flight and adjust files for optimal and accurate production. Other related duties as assigned.
