2015 certified, climate-controlled facility, we specialize in precision machining and custom workholding for diverse manufacturing sectors. Our commitment is to deliver quality, efficiency, and reliable delivery that exceeds customer expectations.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a mechanically skilled leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and servicing our Ultra Grip branded precision workholding products, as well as overseeing the finishing and shipping functions. While occasional travel may be required for customer support, installation, and service, it is not a primary focus of the role. Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, leadership and the ability to collaborate with engineers and production teams are essential. Candidates must be legally allowed to travel to Canada and/or Mexico if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the finishing, assembly and shipping functions. Assemble and test Ultra Grip precision workholding devices and fixtures according to engineering specifications. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of workholding equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to design and implement effective workholding solutions. Maintain accurate records of assembly procedures, maintenance activities, and service reports. Occasionally travel to customer sites for installation, service, and troubleshooting of Ultra Grip workholding products. Provide technical support and training to customers on proper use and maintenance of workholding systems. Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and safety protocols. Process incoming and outgoing shipments, build packaging and crates as needed. Assist with inventory management, purchasing, and other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in assembling and servicing precision workholding equipment or similar mechanical assemblies. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Proficiency in using hand and power tools for assembly and maintenance tasks. Willingness to travel occasionally for customer installations and service work. Legally permitted to travel to Canada and/or Mexico if required. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and document activities.
