Trutron, LLC - A Troy based Aerospace Machine Shop is in search of an experienced Grind Hand (Surface, ID/OD, Jig) with the following Qualifications. 3 years minimum experience on CNC grinding type machines required. Familiarity with Okamoto control interface and IGM ID Grinder preferred (IGM 15NCIII/2B Twin Spindle ID Grinder). Proficiency with Surface, ID/OD, and Jig Grinding is preferred. Must be able to function both independently and in a team environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Complete understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Familiarity with AS9100 Aerospace machine shop preferred.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate the various grinding type machines listed above, and to ensure that all relative dimensions and surface finish requirements meet engineering drawings/customer specifications.

Summary As a CNC Grinding Machine Operator, you will oversee precision grinding operations to produce high-quality components. Reporting to the production supervisor, you will set up and operate grinding equipment, read mechanical blueprints, and ensure dimensional accuracy through thorough QC checks. Your mechanical knowledge, machining and shop math skills, and adherence to AS9100 quality standards will drive efficient production, safe practices, and continual process improvement. You will collaborate with fabrication and manufacturing teams to meet production schedules and quality targets.
