Technical training in manufacturing, machine operation, printing, bindery operations, or industrial production is a plus. Ability to read, understand, and interpret production documentation and job specifications. Experience Requirements Previous experience operating bindery, printing, manufacturing, production, or converting equipment required. Experience setting up, adjusting, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated machinery. Ability to read work orders and determine machine setup requirements independently. Knowledge of machine measurements, clearances, alignments, and equipment calibration. Experience monitoring production quality, efficiency, and output standards. Prior leadership or crew direction experience is helpful. Job Duties Set up, operate, and adjust bindery and print-finishing equipment to meet production specifications. Operate machinery such as folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, gluing systems, and binding equipment. Configure automated production equipment with multiple stations and integrated functions. Perform machine changeovers, alignments, and production adjustments to maintain workflow efficiency. Produce completed books, catalogs, manuals, magazines, and printed materials according to quality standards. Inspect machinery regularly and identify potential safety concerns. Troubleshoot equipment issues and make operational corrections as needed. Monitor product quality, machine performance, and production output. Verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to customer specifications. Coordinate machine operations across multiple workstations and equipment systems. Lead and support production team members throughout the manufacturing process. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a 12-hour shift. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of production materials. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements. Capability to work around moving mechanical equipment and manufacturing machinery. Strong visual attention to detail for quality inspections and machine monitoring. Ability to safely perform tasks in a fast-paced industrial production setting.
