We're looking for an experienced Bindery Supervisor to lead our finishing floor, keep production moving, and help train the next generation of operators. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows bindery equipment inside and out and is ready to take ownership of a team. You'll split your time between running equipment yourself and guiding the operators around you. Your daily task would be assigning daily work, training newer staff, and making sure every job leaves the floor meeting client specs.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate bindery and finishing equipment: cutting, folding, booklet making, and mailing to exact job ticket specifications Serve as the go-to person for troubleshooting on the finishing floor Assign daily tasks, train entry-level operators, and mentor staff as they build their skills Interpret job tickets and monitor workflow to keep production on schedule and minimize equipment downtime Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on books, magazines, and direct mail pieces before they ship Stay current on new bindery technology and help bring the team along as equipment evolves

Qualifications:

4 to 7 years of bindery or finishing experience 2+ years setting up and running Stahl or MBO folders 2+ years setting up and running paper cutters Experience running a Bourg booklet maker or Bell+Howell envelope inserter a plus Computer skills and solid math aptitude Must be patience, flexible, and have a team-player mindset Willingness to model Gleason Printing's core values for the rest of the floor Ability to routinely stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the shift, switch tasks at a moment's notice, and lift or move items over 50 pounds.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
