Paynesville, MN Day Shift:
6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (Mon-Fri) Avon Plastics will pay for all health insurance premiums for employees for all coverage levels ranging from single, employee plus child(ren), employee plus spouse, and family coverage. Avon Plastics will also pay the premiums for single dental insurance for all employees. Avon Plastics is a family-owned and operated company that has over 50 years of experience in the recycling and manufacturing of plastic products. Avon Plastics proudly manufactures Armadillo Decking, Grid Axcents Lattice, Master Mark Lawn & Garden Products, Quix Interlocking Tile, and TurboClip.
Job Summary:
Shift Lead The Lead Personnel is responsible for performing all of the functions of the Production Operator and help coordinate the activities of production, laborers, equipment and materials in accordance with safety, quality and quantity standards. Shift Leads report directly to a Shift Supervisor. As a Lead Personnel, you will be responsible for overseeing operations during your designated shifts.
Duties will include:
Help direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of products, machines, set up personnel or fabricators. Confer with other leads to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and shifts. Provide help to establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards. Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures Interpret production schedules, job orders, and procedures for workers. Maintain operations data, such as production run sheets and documents Confer with supervisor to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Assist in set up, shut down, and adjust machines and equipment. Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Follows all safety procedures, rules and guidelines and notifies the Plant Manager of any existing or potential safety issues. Improves self in any way possible to enhance job performance. Identifies organizational problems and opportunities for improvement and brings solutions and suggestions to management's attention. Functions as a team member by assisting, supporting, and encouraging other employees in any way possible. Performs related work as required, willingly and eagerly.
