Job Description

Job Summary:
The Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot press issues to ensure efficient production and consistent print quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate flexographic printing presses according to job specifications Mount printing plates, adjust ink systems, and ensure proper registration and color accuracy Monitor press performance and make adjustments to maintain print quality and production efficiency Inspect printed materials for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment Troubleshoot mechanical or printing issues and minimize downtime Maintain accurate production records and job documentation Follow all safety procedures and company policies Coordinate with production team members to meet deadlines and production goals
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred) Proven experience operating flexographic presses or similar printing equipment Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of printing materials, inks, and plate mounting Ability to read and interpret job orders and technical specifications Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks Basic math and measurement skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods Capability to lift materials (typically up to 50 lbs) Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Work Environment:
Manufacturing/production facility with exposure to noise, inks, and machinery May require shift work, including evenings or weekends
