The Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions. Responsibilities:
Operates lithographic sheet fed press with roll conversion to maintain highest quality and meet production and schedule goals Prints polypropylene sheets and transport them to the drying area. Ensures the printing process is done within the budgeted time and cost. Assures quality•realizes specifications of printing job Perform any preventive maintenance on the printing press, clean the machinery and work environment to ensure machine standstills are minimized. Previous Printing Press Operator experience Work SAFELY•Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures. BeDEPENDABLE
•regular and predictable attendance and work overtime when required Be aTEAM PLAYER
•ability to assist others with machine set‐up, run, and clean up Be CARING•respect others and communicate openly High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required Ability to work in the US without company sponsorship required Strong proficiency in the use of computer systems Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on‐time completion of assigned activitiesPHYSICAL AND/OR MENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to:•Specific vision abilities include•close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish color variations, and ability to adjust focus Wear hearing, foot, eye and/or other personal protective equipment while in a manufacturing setting Continually stand for prolonged periods; frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, climb and balance; moderate to frequent walking Routinely use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, and manipulate items; use hands and arms to reach for items in and around the press area; occasionally stoop or kneel while reaching Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pound Regularly push or pull objects up to 40 pounds Medium to loud noise environment Work flexible/varying schedules and overtime hours as needed Please read requirements carefully before applying!
