Machine Set-Up Technician | $22.00 HR | 1st Shift Join a small, team-focused manufacturing shop where no two setups are the same. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys machine setup, problem-solving, and working with custom parts in a collaborative environment.
Schedule:
1st Shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) What you'll do
- Set up and tear down tooling and fixtures on thermoforming and rotational molding equipment
- Operate CNC, trimming, and plastic forming machines
- Configure machines based on material size, cycle times, and production requirements
- Troubleshoot issues during first runs and adjust setups to maintain quality
- Read work orders and blueprints to ensure accurate setup and production
- Run production parts in addition to performing setups and changeovers
- Work closely with quality to validate setups before full production
- Use hand and power tools for changeovers and tooling installation
- Assist with basic maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition
- Support other areas of the shop as needed, including shipping What we're looking for
- 2+ years of machine setup and changeover experience
- Experience with plastic forming, thermoforming, rotational molding, or similar equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions
- Comfortable using hand and power tools for setup and tear down
- Strong troubleshooting skills during setup and production runs
- Ability to lift 40-50 lbs and perform hands-on, physical work
- Solid math and measurement skills (tape measure, basic shop math)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or with a team Nice to have
- Experience with CNC or trimming machines
