Job Description

The position is for assisting in the loading of material off of and onto the plasma table, shear and break, cleaning and prep of said material as well as eventually learning the operation of all equipment. Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a plasma cutting machine, industrial shear and break to cut and bend metal materials according to specifications. They read blueprints, adjust machine settings, and monitor the cutting process to ensure accuracy and quality. The role requires knowledge of some CNC systems, material properties, and safety procedures. Torch head replacement and light preventative maintenance items on all machinery. Needs strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and basic math skills. Experience with CNC plasma cutting machines, blueprint reading a plus. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting are important soft skills. Good physical strength, ability to lift and carry at least 30-60 lbs., heavier loads will be done in tandem with other employees. Ability to read a tape measure to at least a 1/16''. We need someone with a solid physical base that doesn't mind throwing metal around 8hrs. a day, but who also has a brain and can learn the operation and upkeep of equipment.
