In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and configuring printing presses to ensure optimal performance and high-quality output. Your expertise in mechanical adjustments, color management, and prepress software will drive efficiency and precision in our printing operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced industrial equipment, including large-format printers, flexo presses, and digital printing systems, contributing directly to the creation of impactful print advertising and packaging materials. Duties Set up and calibrate various printing presses, including flexo, digital, and screen printing machines, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Interpret production documents accurately to determine job specifications, color requirements, and layout designs. Manage color consistency through precise color management techniques and monitor output quality throughout the print run. Adjust mechanical components and machine settings to optimize print quality, including paper feeding, cutting, binding, and finishing processes. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met. Collaborate with graphic designers using Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design software to prepare files for print production. Perform quality control checks during production runs to identify defects or inconsistencies, making necessary adjustments promptly. Operate large-format printers and other manufacturing equipment with technical proficiency while adhering to safety protocols. Support prepress activities such as layout design, typography adjustments, and proofing to ensure accurate reproduction of artwork. Maintain detailed records of setup procedures, machine adjustments, and production outcomes for continuous improvement. Experience Proven experience operating and setting up various printing presses such as flexo, digital, screen printing, or large-format printers in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently. Familiarity with prepress software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and other graphic design tools. Knowledge of color management principles essential for maintaining color accuracy across different print jobs. Experience in quality control processes related to print production and finishing techniques like cutting and paper binding. Understanding of print advertising standards and layout design best practices. Ability to interpret complex production documents accurately while working in a fast-paced environment.
