Hourly Rate:
$17.00 Night Shift eligible for a $2.00 shift differential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The principal focus of the operator's duties is setting up and running production on a solvent-less laminating machine. Performing frequent quality checks and to ensure we are meeting the needs of customer specifications. Additionally, this position is responsible for the completion of necessary paperwork to aid in production. More specific functions include but are not limited to: Reading job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Ensuring job and material is in order prior to machine set up. Performing set up and activation of the laminator. Loading and unloading roll stock. Mixing prescribed adhesives, catalysts, and solvents to the proper working viscosity. Observing machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction. Making corrections to alleviate out of specification product. Meeting or exceeding prescribed job standards for line speeds, scrap and set up times. Performing minor machine maintenance and reporting any necessary maintenance to the engineering department using a written work order. Working cooperatively with the Quality Assurance department to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. Completing required documentation and enters data into the computer database accurately and timely. Participating in on-going training opportunities and supports a continuous quality improvement environment.
Education/Training/Experience:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent 3+ years demonstrated experience running lamination equipment using flexible materials. Ability to work with all levels of employees. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. #LI-DNP
