About the Position The primary duty of this position is to run state-of-the-art, modern HD Flexo film presses featuring low-migration/low-odor UV inks, LED curing, defect detection, auto registration and more. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with technology; this position involves a high level of interaction with the press and automated systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:- Unsupervised setup, tear-down, and execution of all activities related to successfully running flexographic printing presses
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards, including performing quality protocols prescribed in company Quality Program
- Utilize defect detection system, color qualification system and other measuring devices
- Participate in continuous improvement by recommending process, product, or machinery improvements and solutions
- Conduct routine press maintenance activities
- Maintain press area to comply with Food Packaging Safety and Physical Safety standards and regulations
- Ensure accurate data is entered into manufacturing paperless timecard systems
- Ability to work with deadlines and adapt to changing production demands
- Ability to work schedule as assigned Position requirements Qualifications, skills and abilities:
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least two years of machine operating experience
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes
- Read and interpret written information
- Strong math skills and excellent measurement skills Physical Demands and Work environment:
- This position will be on the production floor in a manufacturing environment
- Stand for long periods of time, with standard rest-periods
- Walk, stand, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- See and discern color
- Exposure to and work near moving mechanical parts
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis
- Noise level in the work environment can be loud
