JOB SUMMARY
This position requires a hands-on individual who will oversee the daily work of the Screen-Printing department. Responsible for end-to-end production of screen-printed jobs including film printing, screen creation, machine set up, operation of the equipment, and equipment tear down. Perform pre-production print checks to ensure proper machine set-up, registration, ink viscosity, color, and print quality. The position requires an ability to multi-task, detail oriented, self-sufficient, dependable, ability to cope under pressure, maintain good judgement, eager to learn and a professional, supportive attitude.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of jobs for production including film printing, screen creation, and screen reclamation. Operate automatic, flatbed screen printing presses, including job set-up, printing & tear-down with attention to detail, high quality of print, accuracy, and speed Work with Graphics Manager and supervisor on daily/weekly schedule to ensure work assignments are in coordination with customer quality and delivery specifications. Work with Manager, Supervisor, and lead to perform necessary quality checks including review of recipe cards, ink testing, and adhesion testing, to ensure quality standards are met. Record data in online quality assurance software. Understand the operation of various graphics equipment including large output film printer, UV Screen Print press and dryer. Troubleshoot where needed. Arrange preventative maintenance and document. Notify management of any maintenance or repair needs Clean and organize equipment, work areas, and ink storage- including the removal of ink from screens, squeegees, press & tools, etc. Review and follow work instructions, training documents, quality guides, and company related updates as requested by management Participate in meetings as required Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
