Overtime as needed Job Overview We're looking for an experienced Senior Flexo Press Operator to run and maintain our Nilpeter FB-3, Mark Andy 2200, and/or ABG Digicon Series printing presses. In this role, you'll set up and operate high-speed flexographic presses to produce labels with graphics, foil, embossing, and specialty coatings — and you'll be trusted to catch quality issues before they become problems. If you take pride in precise registration, spotless washups, and a clean press deck, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Set up and operate flexographic printing presses according to manufacturer guidelines and company standards Align print stations by matching register marks on plates, foil dies, embossing dies, cutting dies, and screens Mount and install printing plates, cutting dies, hot stamp/embossing dies, and rotary screens; perform make-ready adjustments for proper impression and varnish application Wash up the press between jobs to prevent cross-contamination and maintain print quality Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance — cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, and adjusting press components per manufacturer and company guidelines Monitor press and print quality using visual inspection and a camera-based defect detection system; identify and correct issues like ink voids, misregistration, smudges, and color variation Document production data in LabelTraxx, including material usage, setup/run time, downtime, maintenance, and press checks Maintain color cards and master samples; mix ink to match customer specs and pull retain samples every 1,000 feet to monitor color and registration Coordinate first-article inspections with Quality before production runs and correct any flagged deficiencies Partner with Production Supervisors to reduce waste, minimize downtime, and maximize press efficiency Assist with rewinding, packaging, and shipping as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with 5S practices What You Bring High school diploma or GED 5+ years of web printing experience with flexographic or offset printing methods Working knowledge of (or ability to quickly learn) LabelTraxx, GlobalVision, MS Office, and Google Workspace Strong math skills, including basic algebra/geometry and unit conversions (fractions, decimals, metric/U.S. measure) Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills in a press/production environment Sharp attention to detail and solid proofreading skills Clear written and verbal communication in English Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams Ability to pass a color hue vision test (score of 90/100 or higher) Physical Requirements Regularly stand, walk, and operate press equipment (including rewind table, pallet jack, and forklift) Frequently lift and/or move 75+ lbs of paper materials, label rolls, and supplies Close vision, color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus for quality inspection Comfortable working in a production environment with moving mechanical parts, ink/varnish fumes, and elevated noise levels Why Join Us This is a hands-on role for a skilled press operator who wants ownership over their machine and their craft — from make-ready to final inspection. $32.50 - $40.00 per hour
