This is a "hands-on" role focused on the operation of our high-volume, non-digital web offset presses. You will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and high-speed operation of the machinery. ... Responsibilities:

• Press Operation:

  Set up, operate, and maintain large-scale web offset printing presses according to daily production schedules.

• Quality Control:

  Constantly monitor print runs for color consistency, registration accuracy, and ink density to ensure the highest quality output.

• Paper Management:

  Coordinate the loading of large newsprint rolls and manage "splicing" to ensure continuous production flow.

Plate Installation:

Correctly mount and align printing plates for various editions and commercial jobs.

Working hours:

6:00 AM

• 11:00

PM Skills:

• Prior pressman working experience is highly preferred.

Education:

High School Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

• Prior experience operating large-format or web offset presses, strong mechanical aptitude and production machine operation experience is required
• Strong ability to diagnose and fix mechanical issues on the fly.
• Excellent attention to detail is required for this role.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift / push up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to train on day shift for 6-8 weeks and transition to night shift once training is completed.
