- 11:00 PM Industry manufacturing & production (Production Occupations) Reference number S_177824 Job details We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pressman to join our production team.
Responsibilities:
Press Operation:
Set up, operate, and maintain large-scale web offset printing presses according to daily production schedules.Quality Control:
Constantly monitor print runs for color consistency, registration accuracy, and ink density to ensure the highest quality output.Paper Management:
Coordinate the loading of large newsprint rolls and manage "splicing" to ensure continuous production flow.
Plate Installation:
Correctly mount and align printing plates for various editions and commercial jobs.Working hours:
6:00 AM- 11:00
PM Skills:
- Prior pressman working experience is highly preferred.
Education:
High School Experience:
1-4 yearsQualifications:
- Prior experience operating large-format or web offset presses, strong mechanical aptitude and production machine operation experience is required
- Strong ability to diagnose and fix mechanical issues on the fly.
- Excellent attention to detail is required for this role.
- Ability to stand for long shifts and lift / push up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to train on day shift for 6-8 weeks and transition to night shift once training is completed.
