To expand our embroidery production, we're adding an evening/night shift and are looking for team members to join us.
Position Details:
A few weeks of daytime training will be provided before transitioning to the night shift. Flexible scheduling options available. Opportunity to work in a clean, climate-controlled environment. For every order, examine the job file to determine quantities to be printed, proper art placement, specifications, colors, color sequences, variations, and any other details required to produce the order. Assist press operator in press setup, including loading and adjusting screens, press adjustments, putting ink in screens, squeegee selection, and test printing. Assist press operators in production runs, including loading and unloading garments, active quality control, temperature adjustments, and troubleshooting. Cleaning and organizing tools, including squeegees, floodbars, spatulas, ink containers, job cart. Quality control every print before removing from press. Anticipate, recognize, and troubleshoot issues with prints. Verify proper quantities have been printed before cleaning and breaking down the press for the next job. Make sure press operators have everything necessary to produce the day's schedule including garments, job carts, tools.
Qualifications:
Strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills. Able to effectively listen and follow instructions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time; work in and around a variety of industrial machinery and presses; bend over, squat, or climb. Able to frequently move and lift up to 40 lbs when necessary Good hand eye coordination Excellent ability to adjust focus, color awareness, and attention to small details. Ability to work under potentially stressful conditions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Support other departments when necessary.
Desirable Experience:
This is a standing position and requires frequent turning twisting, bending, and push pull motions. In the event of overtime the employee will serve it on Saturday. There are exceptions during events. The employee be trained in the operation of the embroidery machine. Clean machine and wipe it off. Check paperwork to make sure you have the proper materials (caps and thread) and image loaded. Load image if required. Change bobbins. Change thread. Hoop caps by placing cap on hoop, putting paper on inside where embroidery will take place, lock into position with ring. Load hooped cap into embroidery machine. Press green button to initiate embroidery cycle. Waiting until machine stops, remove caps from machine. Remove caps from hoops, trimming tread ends with nippers. Quality assurance. Change needles as needed and dispose of old ones following company policy. Record all production on proper form in dozens Pack hats in boxes by the dozen and place on skid. Contact supervisor when job is completed so they can move skid to scanner. Clean area at the end of shift. Hands-on, high-energy individual with an eagerness to learn and excel, and the capability to engage other in training and bringing out their best performance.
