Job Description

Art F/X Screen printing & Embroidery is looking for a dedicated hard working full time Screen print machine operator in our screen printing department. Position Summary The Screen Print Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automatic and/or manual screen-printing presses to produce high-quality decorated apparel and products. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, quality control, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while meeting daily production goals and customer expectations. Responsibilities Press Operation Set up and operate automatic and/or manual screen-printing presses. Load garments and materials onto presses accurately and efficiently. Monitor print quality throughout production runs. Make adjustments to registration, ink flow, pressure, and print settings as needed. Ensure jobs are produced according to approved proofs and production specifications. Meet daily production schedules and output goals. Quality Control Inspect garments for print quality, color accuracy, registration, and defects. Identify and correct printing issues before they impact production. Remove and report defective products or materials. Maintain consistent quality standards throughout each production run. Equipment & Maintenance Perform daily press maintenance and cleaning. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with screen setup, breakdown, and reclaim processes as needed. Report equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly. Follow all preventative maintenance procedures. Production Support Read and understand work orders, production tickets, and artwork specifications. Verify garment counts and job details before beginning production. Assist with ink mixing, screen preparation, and production staging. Work closely with production managers, art department staff, and finishing personnel to ensure smooth workflow. Assist in other production areas as needed. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines. Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Follow company policies regarding attendance, productivity, and workplace conduct. Qualifications Excellent communication and organizational skills. Basic computer knowledge Able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative. Detail oriented. Able to work individually as well as part of a team. Ability to make sound and reasonable decisions. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who can create prints that fully meet the customer's specifications while working at a steady pace in order to keep up with the production schedule.
