PM Job Summary:

The Offset Press Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a web offset printing press to produce high-quality print materials in accordance with customer specifications and production schedules. While offset printing experience is strongly preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities Mount and register printing plates accurately. Adjust ink and color settings as needed to ensure proper color balance and print quality. Maintain ink and water balance throughout production runs. Direct and assist the press assistant with duties as needed during operations. Perform regular housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized press area. Perform and document preventative maintenance (PM) on press equipment as required. Communicate effectively with preceding and following shifts to ensure continuity of operations. Monitor print quality, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning web offset press operations. Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced production environment. Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, and/or multiple shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience operating or assisting on a offset printing press. Knowledge of ink and water systems, color registration, and print quality control. Understanding of print industry terminology and production workflows.
