Job DescriptionSeeking a skills and reliable Offset Sheetfed Press Operator to join on our team on either second or third shift. This position is ideal for a press operator with strong management skills and the flexibility to support multiple printing platforms. Operate and maintain Man-Roland sheetfed presses, willingness to learn and support flexographic printing operations.

Experience in running a 4-color (2/2) sheetfed presses, with a strong focus on maintaining print quality. This role will also require cross-training and support in our flexographic press department as needed. Ensure accurate color density and quality throughout the production runs.

The position is responsible to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipmentPerform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register etc.

Performs routine maintenance and press checksClean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as requiredDependable with good attendance and teamwork skillsQualificationsProven experience in maintaining and operating Man-Roland sheetfed pressesRequires thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements and skills to perform assignmentsSkill to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings and materials needed to run the job successfullySkill to make a variety of difficult precise settings of controls, settings, and adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipmentSkill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipmentKnowledge of the appropriate amount of packing pressure needed to obtain the proper printing pressure for the type of job being runSkill in use of micrometer to mount and align the printing plate correctlyAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. RRD's current hourly rate for this role is $19.50 to $21.00/hour plus applicable shift differential. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include shift differential.
