Job Description

Pressroom Supervisor opening - Carrollton, TX area
Shift:
2nd shift opening -
Salary:
$100K per year
Key Responsibilities and Duties Production Scheduling:
Coordinates shift schedules, assigns daily tasks, and optimizes staffing to meet deadlines.
Workflow Management:
Oversees prepress and offset press operations to ensure efficient production flow.
Quality Control:
Inspects products to verify conformance with customer specifications and company standards.
Equipment Maintenance:
Troubleshoots equipment failures, performs preventive maintenance, and coordinates with external vendors for repairs.
Staff Leadership & Training:
Hires, trains, and trains press operators in machine operation and safety protocols.
Inventory Control:
Manages stock of inks, paper, and materials to avoid shortages.
Safety Compliance:
Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and environmental standards within the pressroom. Lead a team of 10 individuals. Troubleshoot and fix/repair UV presses.
Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of offset printing machinery, prepress processes, and color printing (e.g., PMS color matching).
Leadership & Communication:
Ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and solve problems effectively.
Experience:
Previous experience as a press operator or in a supervisory role within the printing industry is usually required.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of, and experience with, preventative maintenance on presses.
