Requirements:
This is a full time position: Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime during peak seasons. Hole in the Roof is a custom apparel decorator running automatic screen printing, embroidery, DTG, and DTF production. We're looking for a Quality Control Associate to be the last set of eyes on every order before it leaves the shop. You'll work alongside our press operators, inspecting garments as they come off the press and out of the dryer, catching defects before they reach the customer, and keeping our reject and rework rates low. This is a hands-on production floor role for someone who takes pride in catching the thing everyone else missed. What You'll Do Inspect printed garments coming off the automatic presses and dryer against the approved sample and work order Check for print defects: off-registration, poor ink coverage or opacity, color mismatch, misprints, ghosting, smudging, and gaps Verify cure quality (stretch/wash checks as directed) so ink holds up after washing Confirm each order matches the work order — correct design, print placement and size, garment style, color, and size breakdown Catch garment defects: stains, holes, mislabeled or wrong-color/size blanks Count and reconcile quantities against the order Pull and flag defective pieces, and communicate issues to press operators quickly so problems get corrected mid-run Prep approved garments for folding, boxing, or shipping as needed Keep the QC area clean and organized What We're Looking For Required Strong attention to detail and consistency across a full shift Ability to distinguish colors accurately (an essential function of the role) Ability to read a work order and count/reconcile quantities Reliable attendance and ability to keep pace on an active production floor Willingness to speak up and flag issues directly with operators Reliable and a positive attitude Ability to lift up to 30 lbs Preferred Prior experience in screen printing, embroidery, or apparel decoration Familiarity with print quality standards and common print defects Experience in a production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment Physical Requirements Stand and move around the production floor for extended periods Work in a warm environment near presses and dryers Lift and move boxes of garments (up to 30 lbs) and handle garments repetitively Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
