How you'll make an impact: MRP is searching for passionate and agile Press Operator II who is a problem-solver and excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As a Press Operator II in the Press Department, you will be responsible for supporting the to assist the 1st Press Operator with make-ready, operating, and maintaining the printing press. What will you do in this role? Insert packing sheets on plate cylinder to build up plate to printing height. Fasten reinforcing bars to offset blankets, and installing plates and blankets on press cylinders Make adjustments to achieve pressure required for printing. Adjust press machine parts, such as feeder and delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools. Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools. Wash blankets, and clean ink, ink distributing rollers and ink fountains, using ink solvent and cleaning mechanism on press. Assist Press Operator by making necessary color, register corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work. What does it take to be successful in this role? Basic Requirements Possess an ability to work as a team with the Press Operator III and embrace how your job impacts the whole team. Strong attention to detail. Have the ability to accept feedback and use it to grow in your position. Must have basic computer skills or the ability to learn basic skills. Experience in the operation of sheet-fed press equipment and basic offset press functions a must. Skill in performing routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment under guidance of senior level Press Operators. While these qualifications are preferred, they're not required : Prior experience running a press machine KBA preferred GED or High School Equivalent The physical requirements and work environment:
Physical Demands Standing/Walking:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 2 hours per shift).
Lifting/Carrying:
Regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
Repetitive Motions:
Frequent use of hands and arms for machine operation and material handling.
Visual/Manual Requirements:
Ability to read gauges, color, measure materials, and perform quality checks.
Environmental Conditions Noise Level:
Exposure to moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection provided.
Safety Gear:
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves required.
Other Factors:
Exposure to dust, ink, or chemicals used in production. Schedule & Work Hours Full-time position; standard schedule is 6:00pm-6:00am 3 days/weekend Friday-Sunday (36 hours per week).
