Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician with strong soldering skills to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with electronic components, cable assemblies, and production hardware. A U.S. Secret Clearance is preferred; however, candidates who are eligible and willing to obtain a clearance are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical and electronic assembly of components, sub-assemblies, and systems. Execute precision soldering (including through-hole and surface-mount) following industry standards such as IPC-A-610 or
J-STD-001.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions. Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot assembly issues and collaborate with engineering or production teams to resolve them. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow all safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in electronic or mechanical assembly. Proficient soldering skills; certification (IPC/J-STD) is a plus. Ability to use hand tools, microscopes, and test equipment such as multimeters. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed work instructions. U.S. citizenship required due to security clearance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one. Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment. Knowledge of ESD handling procedures.
Work Environment & Schedule:
On-site role in Huntsville, Alabama. Standard Monday-Friday schedule with occasional overtime based on project needs. About
