Job Description
Job Description This role focuses on assembling lift trucks and related mechanical components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You install and fit critical parts, inspect and test assemblies, and ensure all work meets established quality and safety standards while following detailed instructions and diagrams. Responsibilities Assemble lift trucks and mechanical components within required production times. Install mechanical parts including drive axles, power trains, steering columns, hydraulic tanks, brakes, tires, and seats. Inspect parts and materials for accuracy and quality before and after installation. Test and adjust assembled components to ensure proper function and alignment. Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently. Follow work instructions, diagrams, and blueprints to complete assembly tasks correctly. Maintain quality standards and complete all required documentation accurately. Perform basic preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and workstations. Carry out regular housekeeping to keep the work area clean, organized, and safe. Work collaboratively in a team-oriented production environment to meet output and quality goals. Handle repetitive physical tasks such as standing, lifting, bending, and using tools throughout the shift. Essential Skills Experience working in a manufacturing or factory setting. Ability to perform repetitive physical work, including standing, lifting, and bending for the duration of the shift. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in an assembly environment. Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and blueprints. Skill in assembling mechanical components and subassemblies on an assembly line. Competence in inspecting parts and materials for defects or inconsistencies. Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures accurately. Comfort working in a team-oriented production environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards. Capability to perform basic preventative maintenance and housekeeping tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berea, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
