Job Title:
Assembler Job Description The Assembler builds and inspects high-quality fitness equipment used in commercial facilities and home environments. This role works on units and component parts in a structured assembly line setting, following established procedures and collaborating closely with team members to ensure products meet quality and performance standards. Responsibilities Build fitness products and sub-assemblies by working with units and individual parts on an assembly line. Inspect assembled products and components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Follow detailed assembly drawings, blueprints, and written procedures to complete tasks accurately. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during mechanical assembly work. Measure components using tape measures and other basic measuring tools to verify proper fit and alignment. Perform general production and general labor tasks as needed to support the manufacturing process. Work collaboratively in a team environment, communicating clearly with coworkers and supervisors. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficiency and safety. Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and report any concerns or equipment issues promptly. Support continuous production flow by meeting established productivity and quality expectations. Essential Skills At least 6 months of general production or general labor experience in a manufacturing or similar environment. At least 6 months of experience using hand and power tools in an assembly or mechanical setting. Ability to read and apply basic math skills, including addition and subtraction. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand how parts fit and work together. Ability to follow established procedures, assembly drawings, and basic blueprints. Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for detailed assembly work. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfort working with assembly line processes and repetitive tasks. Experience using tape measures and basic measuring tools. Ability to learn and follow new procedures and product specifications. Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules. Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a hands-on manufacturing environment with an assembly line setup, where employees regularly use hand and power tools and work with mechanical components. The role requires lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally, strong hand-eye coordination, and the ability to stand for extended periods while walking, bending, and turning consistently and repeatedly. Tasks involve repetitive motion, and the work area can be noisy. The position follows a structured schedule, with hours of 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday and planned work on Fridays, supporting a predictable and stable workweek. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owatonna, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $20.75/hr.
