Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This role focuses on the full assembly of large industrial generators and related components from start to finish. You will work from detailed blueprints and schematics to build complete units, using a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools. The position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals, including those with automotive or similar mechanical backgrounds, who enjoy hands-on work in a production environment. Responsibilities Assemble large industrial generators from initial components to finished products, following established procedures and quality standards. Assemble motors, fans, pipelines, and electrical wiring, ensuring all components fit and function correctly within the overall system. Read and interpret detailed blueprints and schematics to understand customer specifications and assembly requirements. Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively to perform mechanical assembly tasks. Inspect parts and assemblies during and after production to verify accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications. Perform crating and packaging of finished products as needed to prepare them for shipment. Handle materials and components safely, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the open bay/warehouse production environment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and resolve assembly or fit issues. Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines when working with tools, equipment, and heavy components. Essential Skills At least 6 months of experience in large product mechanical assembly or closely related mechanical work. At least 6 months of experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools in a production or mechanical setting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics to perform accurate mechanical assembly. Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to assemble complex components such as motors, fans, pipelines, and electrical wiring. Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished products. Basic understanding of workplace safety practices when working with tools and heavy equipment. Strong reliability and ability to work effectively within a production team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as an automotive mechanic or similar mechanical skills, which can transfer well to large product assembly. Familiarity with industrial or warehouse production environments. Comfort working with a variety of tools, including hand, power, and pneumatic tools. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt to changing production priorities. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Mankato, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
