Job Title:
Assembly Technician (1st Shift) ($21.50/hr.) $24.00 an hour once brought on direct! Job Description Join our dynamic team as an Assembly Technician where you will play a critical role in the disassembly and refurbishment of industrial vacuum pumps. This is a hands-on, physical role that involves working with various mechanical tools and equipment to ensure quality and efficiency in our operations. We are looking for individuals to start as soon as possible after interviewing. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half. Apply Today! Responsibilities Work in the disassembly department, sandblasting, grinding, and finishing various parts. Operate a water bath to clean bolts and nuts in preparation for assembly. Assist in rotating and buffing parts; work may be repetitive. Use hand and air tools for refurbishing parts for industrial vacuums and air compressors. Operate an overhead crane for unit disassembly. Clean and inspect all parts from disassembled pumps and evaluate their condition. Type reports to be sent to customers detailing repairs needed. Develop repair estimates and write technical reports describing malfunctions and repair measures. Diagnose and repair vane pumps, mechanical pumps, blowers, TMPs, and dry pumps. Rebuild units according to engineering specs and ISO procedures. Perform maintenance on shop equipment such as part washers and bead blasters. Troubleshoot equipment and refurbish parts. Essential Skills Mechanical assembly experience. Troubleshooting skills. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be mechanically inclined with experience using hand, air, and power tools. Ability to lift 40+ lbs. Basic reading, writing, and computer skills. High school diploma or GED required. Open to working overtime and Saturdays. Experience with sandblasting, painting, water jet, and disassembly of motors, pumps, and compressors is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
