Job Description

Job Title:
Mechanical Upfitting Assembler Location:
Gilbert, AZ Schedule:
Monday•Thursday, 6:00 AM•4:30 PM (occasional overtime on Fridays)
Pay:
$20•25/hour
DOE Job Summary:
Responsible for assembling and installing mechanical and electrical components on specialty vehicles, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and water trucks. Ensures high-quality, safe, and precise upfitting of vehicles according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, and wire upfitting components such as cranes, welders/compressors, back-up cameras, strobe lights, air tanks, safety kits, center consoles, 7-way plugs, and hitches. Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment to safely disassemble and reassemble vehicle sections. Utilize hand tools, tape measures, mag drills, and other assembly tools to complete installations. Interpret vehicle specifications and ensure proper load handling and lift chain angles. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Inspect completed assemblies for quality and operational compliance.
Requirements:
Experience in mechanical assembly and vehicle upfitting. Knowledge of wiring and installation of vehicle electrical components. Skilled in operating lifting equipment and understanding vehicle load capacities. Proficient with hand tools, power tools and precision measuring tools. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent schedule with occasional overtime.
Compensation:
$20•25/hour, depending on experience.
Additional Requirements:
Must successfully pass the pre-employment process, including background check and drug screen.
