Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This role performs complex mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies on a production line, while supporting continuous improvement, safety, and quality across the manufacturing process. You work on first shift in a modern, air-conditioned facility, contributing to a fast-growing, technology-driven manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Execute complex assembly tasks, including advanced mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies on an assembly line. Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools and power tools in accordance with production requirements. Follow prints, schematics, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to build products accurately and consistently. Coach and train lower-level assemblers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support on assembly techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards. Ensure the assembly team adheres to all safety and regulatory compliance standards at all times. Continuously review assembly processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other departments to resolve design or manufacturing issues encountered during assembly. Perform final quality inspections and testing to confirm that assembled products meet required standards and specifications. Maintain inventory of parts and materials required for assembly and ensure stock is kept at optimal levels. Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and provide continuous improvement suggestions to support greater efficiency and productivity. Work under pressure to meet production deadlines while maintaining high quality standards. Support general production and assembly line operations as needed to achieve output targets. Essential Skills At least 2-5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing roles. Experience working on an assembly line in a production environment. Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies. Proficient use of hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks. Expertise in reading and interpreting complex technical documents, including engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications. Strong knowledge of quality control processes and manufacturing best practices. Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address assembly and production issues. Ability to follow prints, schematics, and build SOPs with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to train and mentor junior team members and contribute to overall team development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with assemblers, engineers, and cross-functional teams. Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines without compromising quality. Ability to adhere to safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in lean manufacturing environments and continuous improvement initiatives. Comfort working in a fast-growing, dynamic production setting. Work Environment This is a first shift position, working Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with mandatory overtime on Fridays as needed to meet production deadlines. Overtime may occasionally arise, and candidates should be comfortable with this when required. The role is based in an air-conditioned, modern manufacturing facility equipped with industry 4.0 technology and electric vehicle charging stations. The physical demands include the ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and stoop, kneel, or crouch as required by assembly tasks. The position requires good manual dexterity, including effective use of one or both hands and multi-limb coordination, to safely and efficiently operate tools and perform precise mechanical assembly work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
