Description:
Position Summary Vantage Mobility, a leading manufacturer of wheelchair-accessible vehicles, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Final Assembly Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing the final stages of vehicle assembly to ensure each mobility conversion meets company quality and safety standards. The Final Assembly Technician plays a key part in ensuring each completed vehicle is ready for inspection, testing, and delivery to customers. Responsibilities Assembly & Installation Install interior and exterior components, including flooring, seats, ramp systems, trim, and electrical equipment. Follow detailed work instructions and diagrams to complete final assembly tasks efficiently and accurately. Inspect all parts and assemblies for quality, fit, and function. Identify and report any defects, missing parts, or deviations from specifications. Quality & Safety Ensure all work complies with Vantage Mobility's quality standards and safety requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all safety procedures and immediately report any unsafe conditions or incidents. Collaboration & Support Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Communicate effectively with Quality, Paint, and Conversion teams to ensure seamless workflow between departments. Participate in continuous improvement discussions and assist in identifying opportunities for process efficiency.
Requirements:
Preferred:
Experience with vehicle modification, assembly, or manufacturing environments. Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of experience in automotive assembly, repair, or related work. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use power and hand tools safely. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
