Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production and Solder Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the assembly and testing of ruggedized electronic products ensuring the highest standards for durability and performance. The role includes responsibilities for assembling, soldering, modifying, and inspecting printed circuit boards (PCBs) to IPC standards. In addition to PCB tasks, the position will require system level assembly requiring hand-eye coordination, strong attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced small team manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform through-hole and surface-mount (SMT) soldering on PCBs and electronic assemblies
- Assemble and wire electronic components according to schematics, blueprints, and work instructions
- Inspect solder joints to meet
IPC-A-610
- and/or
J-STD-001
- quality standards
- Rework, repair, and modify electronic assemblies as required
- Electronic system level assembly and test
- Operate hand tools, soldering irons, hot air rework stations, microscopes, and testing equipment
- Identify and report defects, non-conformances, and process issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe workstation
- Follow safety procedures and company quality policies
- Assist engineering and quality teams with prototype builds and process improvements Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (Technical certification preferred)
- 1-3 years of electronics soldering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in through-hole and SMT soldering
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of materials
- Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC certification preferred)
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with cable harness assembly and wire termination
