• Job Title: Assembler (2nd Shift)

• This role focuses on the precise assembly and manufacturing of medical devices, including catheter products, using a microscope in a cleanroom environment. You will follow regulated manufacturing processes, perform in-process inspections, and work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure the highest levels of product quality and integrity.
• Responsibilities
• + Manufacture medical devices, including catheter assemblies, under a microscope while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

+ Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Line Clearance requirements, Work Instructions, assembly methods, product handling methods, production drawings, Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and all Safety requirements.

+ Successfully complete training on production tasks and apply this training to daily work activities.

+ Read and understand travelers/routers, correctly identify materials, and use production and inspection tools and equipment required for product builds.

+ Operate tools and equipment safely and effectively, and complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

+ Perform equipment set-up, operation, and in-process inspection to accomplish assigned tasks and verify product quality.

+ Work directly with engineers and supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality standards are consistently met.

+ Collaborate with engineers to develop and improve process documentation for manufacturing and assembly activities.

+ Perform inventory counts and support material control as needed to maintain production flow.

+ Use adhesives, including different types of Loctite, and operate EFD dispensers and UV curing systems as part of the assembly process.

+ Follow cleanroom protocols and use required safety equipment when performing lab and production work.

+ Receive and follow verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed and adapt to changing production needs.

+ Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.

• Essential Skills
• + Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

+ Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment, or relevant prototyping experience.

+ Prior experience with medical device assembly, particularly catheter assembly, is strongly preferred.

+ Proficiency in microscope-based assembly and inspection work.

+ Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Line Clearance requirements, and Good Documentation Practices.

+ Experience working in a cleanroom environment and adherence to cleanroom protocols.

+ Ability to understand and perform in-process inspections to assure workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices.

+ Strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills for detailed assembly work under a microscope.

+ Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and team members.

+ Ability to use required safety equipment when performing lab and production work.

+ Comfort with receiving and following verbal instructions and working in a structured, process-driven environment.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Experience with catheter product manufacturing is a plus.

+ Familiarity with medical device manufacturing operations and quality requirements.

+ Experience with inspection processes in a regulated manufacturing setting.

+ Ability to work with adhesives, including different Loctite products, in precision assembly applications.

+ Experience using EFD dispensers and UV curing systems in production.

+ Ability to read and interpret production drawings, travelers, and routers.

+ Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product integrity and quality.

+ Willingness to support inventory counts and basic material control activities.

+ Adaptability to start-up style environments where processes and documentation may evolve.

• Work Environment
• Work takes place in a controlled cleanroom environment dedicated to medical device manufacturing.

You will regularly perform microscope-based assembly and inspection tasks, work with adhesives such as Loctite, and operate specialized production equipment including EFD dispensers and UV curing systems. The environment follows regulated manufacturing standards, including cGMP, SOPs, and strict safety and documentation practices. You will use required safety equipment when performing lab and production work and follow cleanroom protocols to maintain product quality and a safe, orderly workspace. This is a 2nd shift role in a structured, process-driven production setting.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $21.

00 - $24.15/hr.
