Job Description
Position Summary The Wire Harness Assembler is responsible for assembling electrical wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow technical documentation to ensure accurate and reliable product assembly. Key Responsibilities Assemble wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical components according to specifications and diagrams Cut, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires using hand tools and specialized equipment Route and bundle wires using ties, sleeves, clamps, and other fastening methods Read and interpret work orders, assembly instructions, and wiring diagrams Perform visual inspections to ensure quality and compliance with company standards Use basic measuring tools and testing equipment to verify electrical continuity and functionality Maintain a clean and organized workstation while following safety guidelines Report defects, material shortages, or production issues to supervisors Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in wire harness assembly, cable assembly, or electronics manufacturing preferred Ability to read basic diagrams, instructions, and production documentation Familiarity with hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, cutters, and soldering equipment Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Capable of lifting up to 25-35 lbs and standing for extended periods Preferred Skills Experience with IPC standards (such as
IPC/WHMA-A-620
