The Production Assembler (Electronics) will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic components of rolling stock. This role requires attention to detail with an emphasis on diligence; and the ability to read and interpret technical schematics is a plus.Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install electronic components, wiring, and subassemblies into rolling stock according to technical specifications and work instructions.
- Read and interpret production drawings to ensure proper assembly and functionality of electronic systems.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble and install electronic components.
- Operate a forklift when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in electronic assembly, particularly in a manufacturing or production setting preferred.
- Understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for assembly work.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must have valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move heavy components (up to 50, as necessary).
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Must wear personal protective equipment.
