Job Designation:
Responsible for assembling and installing fasteners, hardware, and various components used in the manufacturing of airplane seats. Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient production environment.
Job Core Responsibilities:
Assemble components and subassemblies according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. Learn and operate an industrial sewing machine to support production requirements. Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot minor assembly issues and communicate production concerns to supervisors. Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area while meeting production goals. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
Job Specifications:
Education:
High School Diploma/GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience:
1-2 years of manufacturing, assembly, industrial sewing, upholstery, aerospace, or related hands-on production experience preferred.
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn manufacturing processes quickly. Experience or ability to learn and safely operate an industrial sewing machine. Comfortable using hand tools, light machinery, and production equipment. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity when working with fasteners, small parts, fabric, and seat components. Ability to perform basic measurements and mathematics. Ability to read and follow work instructions, manufacturing procedures, safety guidelines, and quality requirements. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies in finished work. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality and productivity. Basic problem-solving skills and ability to follow established procedures to resolve straightforward production issues.
