ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Checks Bill of Material (BOM) to determine assembly and any specific requirements for the kit being built. Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the particular build. Checks for designated packaging. Contacts material handler if shortages exists or incorrect parts are in bins. Assembles components while verifying that components are correct to the description called for on the BOM. Packs finished product into designated packaging along with any required instruction sheet into each carton of the finished product. Labels and stages the finished product to be received into the system. Resolves assembly and packing problems with direction from supervisor. Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies. Wears all protective equipment as required. Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization. All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Basic knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to read, write and speak effectively to read and describe manuals, orders, processes and procedures. Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and apply basic mathematical and reasoning skills. Ability to lift 20-30 pounds semi-regularly and up to 45 pounds on occasion with the dexterity to handle small pieces while assembling. Ability to stand for an extended period of time while performing these tasks.
