This hands-on role involves working with small parts, hand tools, microscopes, and assembly equipment while meeting strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Assemble small, precision metal components according to work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings. Operate hand tools, microscopes, pneumatic tools, and other assembly equipment. Perform visual and mechanical inspections during and after assembly. Verify that products meet quality requirements and document inspection results. Accurately complete device history records (DHRs) and other production documentation. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO 13485, and FDA guidelines. Maintain clean, organized workstations and follow cleanroom protocols when applicable. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues and improve processes. Identify defective materials or nonconforming parts and report them to quality control or supervisors. Participate in training and continuous improvement activities. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One to two years of experience in manufacturing or assembly. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and work instructions. Good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively with a team. Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation. Preferred Experience Experience in medical device manufacturing or another regulated industry. Experience working under a microscope or assembling small parts. Knowledge of ISO 13485, GMP, and FDA regulations. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Frequent sitting or standing at a workbench or assembly station. Handling small tools and components. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Potential work in a cleanroom or controlled environment, with gowning when required. Use of task-appropriate personal protective equipment for metal finishing, which may include safety goggles, face shields, and N95 or P100 respirators for dust and particulates.
